Summary

This essay was written to raise awareness and the reader sometime clarify some of your doubts regarding homosexuality, as they often do not have adequate knowledge, this being a problem that often affects us, because without this knowledge can inform and even evil can transmit those bad learning to others.

Introduction

The words sexuality and homosexuality are constantly mentioned in everyday life and in the media. Both concepts are linked to important situations of human relations and life of any individual. Despite this, there is much ignorance about the true meaning of human sexuality and homosexuality. And besides, there are myths and taboos that sometimes hinder a healthy sexual development of people.
But today all information provided to us in one way or another is not as accurate as before, and many do not even know what they are talking about is why the same man no longer knows the true meaning of sex, sexuality and homosexuality, plus there are concepts that are considered very important for the integral development of the person and to achieve a healthy coexistence with others; these concepts come into the cultural sphere of each region and other social circles, without leaving out homophobia. Within homosexuality exists a fundamental part that each individual spends fortunately or unfortunately with others, is both familiar and social acceptance, suffering rejection or denigration by other individuals because of their sexual preference; thus being able to develop their own idea about to issue a judgment in which a duly substantiated opinion is expressed.
It is important for any audience interested on the subject and you want to get to reflect on homosexuality and all that for many is frowned upon in society, while in other regions of the world as in the Isthmus of Tehuantepec in the state of Oaxaca is common and often even a "blessing" for a family, this is because as everyone people with this sexual preference is.
Based on the following hypothesis that tells us that the main factor influencing that in the Isthmus of Tehuantepec, is accepted homosexuality is culture, and accordingly, really does culture accepts homosexuality, or there are more factors?

The sexuality

A person's sexuality is something broader; It is related to their way of thinking, of being and relating. Many things we do are a reflection of our sexuality as we speak, as we like to dress, how we relate to our colleagues, how we relate to our family and our friends. Sexuality is the result of sex with which a person is born, his family upbringing and the society in which we live.

Sex

Most species reproduce sexually exist; this means that to have offspring needs the participation of a male that produces sperm and a female produces eggs. Man sexually reproduced and therefore there are two sexes: male and female, according to Sex (Mora, 2012) "it is a biological and genetic variable that divides human beings in only two possibilities: a woman or a man." Women and men are born with sexual organs that determine sex; these organs are called primary sexual characteristics; and secondary sexual characteristics appear in response to hormonal changes during puberty.

Gender

It is a cultural category that differentiates the activities between men and women and is constructed from what is socially considered to be a man and what should be a woman, that is, it reflects globally on all its members a series of social constructions that differentiate them from each other. According to the (World Health Organization, 2016)
Gender refers to the characteristics of women and men defined by society, such as rules, roles and relationships between them. What is expected of both genders varies from one culture to another and may change over time.
Gender is defined as the way in which the person exercises their sexuality and it is supposed may be different.

Homosexuality

When it comes to gender it is different, it we mean that an individual both male and female, can be identified as heterosexual, bisexual, homosexual, transgender, pansexual and asexual; and what is homosexuality? The psychologist Maria Pacheco Ruiz tells us that:
Homosexuality is a possible genetic, hormonal or neuroanatomical origin, referring to possible structural differences in the brains of homosexual and heterosexual people. But it should be noted that so far has not found any biological factor determining homosexual orientation (Ruiz, 2015).
previous years homosexuality was frowned upon by society, and it is for this reason that homosexuals suffered rejection and vilification, often reaching to the fact kill them because of their sexual preference or even think about suicide and many coming to perform this act. The word "gay" is a hallmark for both men and women who are attracted to a person of the same sex. However it is more usual for this term refers to a man with such preferences while women are called with the adjective "lesbian (s)" which obviously refers to female homosexuality, ie, a woman who identifies herself, or others they feel characterized by physical and emotional attraction to other women and not attracted to the opposite sex.

Gay acceptance

Discrimination through social prejudice against lesbian, gay and bisexual can be noticed not only through the media but also in the common jokes, stereotypes imposed by the same society and even murals. Members of this community are subject to a great rejection, oppression and marginalization, and face legal persecution and religious and moral judgments.
Acceptance "is the ability to look at another person as it is and not make value judgments or criticisms with the intention to change in the interests of a group" (Villanueva Guzman & Mancilla Segura, 2016).
But today it is almost homosexuality normal for society, so much so that in Mexico on 28 June each year, made his move from ORGULO LGBT (LESBIAN, GAY, BISEXUAL, TRANSGENDER) internationally; however there are homophobic people, does this mean that there are people who will never approve their preference and repudiates; but that is no impediment to show what they are.

Culture

Each region of the world each place has an established culture for years, and "is understood as tissue culture to create a social level from the various traditions and customs of a community" (Colt, 2012).
It is through culture that people develop in some areas, and are identified with their culture.
Mexico is a country widely culture, which is distributed in 32 states and a federal district, each state has different customs and traditions that go into the local culture.

Muxhe del Istmo

The state of Oaxaca is divided into 8 regions: Central Valley, the northern Sierra, the southern Sierra, the Cañada, Mixteca, or Tuxtepec Papaloapan, the Coast and the region of the Isthmus of Tehuantepec; It is in this region that sexuality is fully accepted and respected, "The word homosexual Zapotec muxhe means" (The weekly, 2015). Being muxhe comes from a historical cultural identity that has to do with men who are biologically male, but creating a feminine identity and take female roles established themselves.
Thus it is called homosexuals, this is already common to hear it in place, then people say that the muxe is a third kind, and you are a man, you ere woman and you are muxhe.
Juchitan is divided into 9 sections, and one block must have at least ten to fifteen muxhe. (YOUTUBE, 2016)
Isthmian culture is very "strict" about the muxhe because "the children of one family marry and who stays by parents is the muxhe person assumes the role of unmarried daughter. (YOUTUBE, 2016) ". And he is destined to live in a great loneliness when muren parents because they do not have anyone to stay.
Similarly, it is frowned upon one or muxhe have a partner, since muxhe perform activities that normally correspond to women, as a stylist, weaver, dressmaker, embroidery, cook, is in the latter that people take as unhygienic muxhe fact that a living with a partner.
The muxhe woman can dress or not dress as a woman, however, a woman dressed muxhe could never hold public office. And it is for this reason that in patriarchal politics can not enter as dressed because of the macho patriarchal politics.
As anyone have thought of marrying, but muxhe dressed woman can not marry and also can not have a boyfriend publicly, however, a man muxhe dress if you can marry.
Fifteen years ago, he left the first generation of Juchitan muxhe the Federal District and being in such a big place the vulnerabilizo both on two themes: love and health; they returned only to die to their homes HIV infected. (Youtube, 2014)
And the policy does not accept homosexuality, just as does the Catholic Church, because it tells us that God made us in the image and likeness of him and a priest, can not call marriage the union of a man with a man or a woman with a woman.

Conclusion

Throughout this essay I have spoken about the importance of knowing how sexuality is very important to society factor, but more specifically homosexuality is that it has changed in the social and cultural context of a certain region, reaching acceptance social, and labor, this being a very important step for homosexuals.
Once I read and analyzed the various sources and having known concepts and definitions that leads to knowledge of homosexuality, I can create a proper criterion to encourage me an opinion on the subject and discussed above; in the same way and with respect to the research conducted for this trial, we realize that the hypothesis that the main factor influencing that in the Isthmus of Tehuantepec, is accepted homosexuality is culture, threw the result of affirmative , and also influence some aspects such as the family, but it is not the case of politics and religion who does not approve of homosexuality, is also a small part of society, homophobes who are against this.
To terminate this work, I would make a reflection on the subject, homosexuality is respectable, I can not influence whether a person is or is not homosexual, is the discretion of each person to perform with your body what you want as long it does not affect third parties, if at any time the issue of sexual diversity is in the hands of people who really made a change for the better and for these people count on the support of many people today is quiet by social fear of "what people say" and strongly hope that someday homophobic change their minds and support the sexual diversity of the world, because as the saying goes "the last thing you want in your home you have to have".
